Singer and actor Philip Moolman will take audience to a musical journey on Sunday, October 12, celebrating some of the best-loved songs from the past 100 years at The Drama Factory.

Singer and actor Philip Moolman will perform at his show, Dancing Through the Decades, which will celebrate some of the best-loved songs from the past 100 years, on Sunday, October 12, at The Drama Factory.
Mr Moolman rose to fame in the 1990s with leading roles in films and TV series such as Egoli, Die Prins van Pretoria, and Sonkring.
Born and raised in Parow, his career kicked off when he won a national singing and songwriting competition, Ster '90 (on the TV show Graffiti), where he was named the best singer and songwriter in the country.
His biography said that he played lead roles in four musicals, including Esther, Liefling, Droomkind, and Ons vir Jou, as well as a role in the film Snaaks Genoeg.
He spent over three decades living and working in Johannesburg, but he and his wife, Lurianne, currently live in Yzerfontein.
They are full-time musicians and worship leaders at Bergsig congregation in Durbanville, and perform nationwide at theatres, churches, and festivals.
Mr Moolman described the production as "cheerful, timeless songs, peppered with stories and anecdotes from the good old days—before TV and cellphones—all the way through to today.”
