This long established popular community title includes the key shopping centres Zevenwacht Mall, Kraaifontein Shopping Centre and Cape Gate Shopping Centre within its distribution area.

Easter at the Waterfront

There will be free Easter-themed face painting for children at the Waterfront over the weekend.

The V&A Waterfront will be a hive of activity this Easter weekend.

Activities to enjoy:

  • The Easter Bunny will be available for photographs at the Victoria Wharf Centre Court and The Amphitheatre on Friday March 29 and Saturday March 30, from noon to 4pm.
  • Children can get their face painted in an Easter theme for free at the Amphitheatre from Friday March 29 to Sunday March 31, from 10am to 4pm.
  • Artists can audition at the Amphitheatre from Friday March 29 to Sunday March 31, from noon to 4pm. The stage will be open to all performers who would like to audition. Successful artists will gain access to the V&A Waterfront’s mentorship programme.
  • The Mentors Band of Bands Not Gangs, a non-profit that uses music to help fight gangsterism in the Cape Flats and beyond, will be performing alongside the gospel-vocal style Friendship Choir on Saturday March 30, at 2.30pm. Their performance will be preceded by the opening act: Heatherley Court Youth Band, made up of 12-to-15-year-old pupils.
  • Easter Edition of the V&A Record and Music Fair with 30 traders. Over 6 000 records and other music memorabilia will be on sale at the Watershed on Saturday March 30 and Sunday March 31, from 10am to 2pm. There will also be band merchandise, tees and cassettes on sale, and DJs on decks throughout the day.
  • The V&A Kids Market, a platform for the little ones to showcase their creative skills, will be at the Centre Court on Saturday March 30 to Sunday March 31 from 10am to 4pm
  • There will be an Easter Egg Hunt on bikes by City Cycle Tour, where there will be tokens to collect. Collect as many as you can and exchange them for prizes at their Battery Park Office. Prizes include AWOL T-shirts, AWOL water bottles and chocolates.

The start point is at the Battery Park office and will take place on Sunday March 31, at 10am..
