A Cape Town non-profit organisation, Be The Difference Foundation, held its first all-female sport event on Friday April 7 at Monument Park High School in Kraaifontein to celebrate women in sport.

The foundation’s founder, Granthem Abrahams, said the day was filled with fun in two different sport codes: rugby under-16 and under-18 with netball under-16 and under-18. Teams came as far as Grabouw to take part and support.

“Women’s sport is the fastest growing world wide and it’s our responsibility to empower, prepare and contribute to positive development. The opportunities are endless and we are excited about the future of our community girls,” Mr Abrahams said.
