Laura Brink, who won the “top in the world” award for art and design and scored a “high achievement” for A-level English literature, said, “It is a wonderful and surreal honour. I completed my A-level art coursework in a feverish three months last year, so it almost felt like a dream until I heard the news and it became concrete.”
She’s currently tackling her first year of studies in English literature at Oxford University in the UK.
Rafael Montero da Silva (91%) scored a “high achievement” for AS-Level Spanish.
“One thing I did to maximise my results was to engage fully in the Spanish language. Every day I would watch the news in Spain on TV, read a book I liked or have conversations with my family,” he said.
Reddam House Durbanville executive head Barry Nieuwoudt said: “Every year we are overwhelmed by the tenacity, determination and competitive spirit of our Cambridge International students, and this year is no exception. We thank our teaching staff for their dedication and congratulate our top achievers on their exceptional results.”
