Man, 45, stabbed to death in Scottsville

Kraaifontein police are investigating a murder case after a man, 45, died after being stabbed in his chest on Thursday morning.

Police spokesman Captain F.C Van Wyk said police responded to the scene in Scottsville at about 6.30am. The man was declared dead by medical personnel and the motive for the attack was unknown at this stage, he said.

“Circumstances surrounding this stabbing incident are under investigation.”

Meanwhile Kuils River police arrested a man in Sarepta in the early hours of Thursday for possession of an illegal firearm, following a tip-off, said police spokesman Sergeant Wesley Twigg.
