The Paarl School, a school in Brackenfell for children with disabilities, has received a new school bus.
The Paarl School Development Foundation (PSDF), the school’s fund-raising arm, donated the bus, which has a lift system.
“This enables our learners to receive the necessary transport to school daily from as far as Wellington, Paarl and Gordon’s Bay,” said PSDF spokesperson Elizbè van der Colff.
Principal Annaline Norman said the school was very grateful for the bus and the modifications done to it to accommodate pupils in wheelchairs.
“It opens up opportunities to learners who would not necessarily have it," she said.
