Blankets, toiletries and non-perishable food items were handed over to Johan Minnie, the City of Cape Town’s head of centre: Disaster Risk Management Centre at the Disaster Risk Management Office in Goodwood after storms hit the Cape last weekend causing widespread damage. To bring some immediate relief to residents affected, GrandWest’s Social Economic Development committee set aside R132 000 to buy the goods, which were handed over by general manager, Mervyn Naidoo.
