Close to 300 people, including police officers, firefighters, medics and members of other emergency services, attended a thanksgiving service in honour of first responders, held by Chaplains Alert Western Cape (CAWC) at the Northpine Baptist Church, on Sunday. “We prayed for them and their families and also remembered the members who have died in service. For the fallen heroes, we lit some candles in memory of their service they delivered,” said CAWC director and organiser of the service Alan Kelly. Pictures: supplied.
