Frank Julie, of Bellville, is putting the finishing touches to his fourth book, which he says will give some insights into the non-profit sector.
The Non-Profit Sector: Critical Conversations about Politics, Effective Leadership, Compliance, Fundraising and Learning is due to be published next month, says Mr Julie, whose previous books have dealt with leadership, management, fund-raising and the evolution of the non-profit sector.
“The fourth book is the combination of those things but not only myself is speaking, but also other people who are specialists in the sector."
Officials from the provincial Department of Social Development and the national Department of Employment and Labour are among those he spoke to for his latest book, he says.
“They are giving a lot of good insight on how to become sustainable and how to become compliant. If you are new to the sector, the book will guide you in terms of where we are now and where we are going to."
One of the eight non-profit organisations he is involved with, People First Foundation, will hold workshops at the Bellville library on Friday and Saturday June 21 and 22, from 9am to 3pm. For more information, call Mr Julie at 078 812 4603.
