Reddam House Durbanville is celebrating the achievements of pupils who wrote the Cambridge international exams in June.
The results were announced on Wednesday.
Of the 81 Grade 11 students who sat for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations, the school scored an average of 80%, with 336 subject distinctions.
Two pupils, Minkyum Kim and Talitha Vermeulen, excelled in the A-levels for those wanting to increase their chances of getting accepted into a university.
Minkyum scored 95% in A-level further maths and 95% in A-level physics. He is awaiting final admission at Cambridge University, where he holds a conditional offer to study a computer science course.
Talitha had 90% in chemistry, 86% in maths, and 83% in biology.
“I think the most important thing is to find out which topics you are good at and which topics you need to focus more on. I personally like to do a quick past paper or a practice test of all the topics just to see which areas I am less confident about,” said Minkyum.
The school offers a dual curriculum, providing both Independent Examinations Board (IEB) and Cambridge qualifications.
Barry Nieuwoudt, executive head of Reddam House Durbanville, congratulated the students.
