Seven suspects, aged from 24 to 49, were arrested during a tracing operation from Tuesday night until Wednesday morning in connection with the murder of three men in Wallacedene early this week, say police.

The bodies of the victims were discovered on Monday at around 8.30am at a dam on a farm in Botfontein Road, police spokesperson Colonel Andrè Traut said (“Bodies of three men found in Kraaifontein,” November 6).

“Vigilantism is condemned in the strongest possible terms and those who are under the impression that they can take the law into their own hands and get away with it, should reconsider,” he said.

Once charged, the suspects are expected to appear in the Blue Downs Magistrate’s court on charges of murder.
