SHOT MULTIPLE TIMES: Pregnant Kimberly Kirsty George, 17, died in Retreat

TWO men have been busted for the devastating shooting which claimed the life of a 17-year-old pregnant meisie in Retreat.
Nearly a week after the shooting which led to the death of Kimberly Kirsty George, police have confirmed two men have since appeared in court.
The friendly teen who was shot and killed in Sonata Street on 22 February as the gunmen allegedly suspected that she had witnessed the earlier murder of another victim and targeted her.
According to a 33-year-old relative, who asked not to be named, the teen was walking in Sonata Street when a gunman came up to her, shooting her multiple times after killing a man in a nearby house.
"She grew up in Retreat and was with her friend for the afternoon. At the moment of the shooting, her friend wasn't with her but she just walked past the house where they had just shot a Mongrel. We don't know if they thought she saw the shooting but he turned and started shooting her in the head and stomach."
The relative explains as gunshots rang out her friends ran to look where she was and discovered her in the street.
The meisie was four months pregnant and expecting her first child.
At the time police confirmed they were investigating a double murder case and that a 26-year-old male who was also shot was initially rushed to hospital but later declared deceased.
Police spokesperson, Aneliswa Manyana confirmed the arrest and says: "Kindly be advised that two male suspects aged 26 and 27 were arrested on Saturday 22 February 2025. They appeared in court on Tuesday 25 February 2025."
