Durbanville’s Bianca Edwards is set to promote South African culture and represent local young women in a beauty pageant in the United States of America in July.
She was selected as the Royal International Miss South Africa 2024/2025 last month.
Sunset Erasmus, the national director of Royal International Miss SA, said Ms Edwards will serve as the ambassador of the country in the Royal International Miss International Pageant from Sunday July 6 until Sunday July 13 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Florida.
Ms Edwards is the director of Ace Models Durbanville and international head scout and trainer for Topco Models.
Through her modelling academy and youth development programme, she helps young girls develop confidence and thrive in all aspects of life.
She said one of the causes close to her heart is mental health awareness and sobriety.
She is raising R100 000 on BackaBuddy to make this dream a reality, which will cover travel, accommodation, meals and other costs associated with the competition.
