Minister of Home Affairs, Dr Leon Schreiber, opened a new office at Tygervalley Shopping Centre on Monday April 7.

Like the Mitchell's Plain office that the minister opened on Saturday, the new Tygervalley office features upgraded technology that includes a camera at the counter to minimise the need to queue for photos.

“This process will eventually culminate with Home Affairs services also being offered in many more bank branches, and through online devices,” Mr Schreiber said.

The new office will only accept prior bookings and it served its first clients in the presence of the minister on Monday, the department said.
