Passion Play Ministries International (PPMI), a non-profit organisation that presents the passion play He's Alive, a dramatic presentation of Jesus Christ's death, burial and resurrection, is set to host a series of performances in Kraaifontein.
The Cape Town audience will have an opportunity to see the roles of Pilate, two Sanhedrin members and two soloists performed by visiting actors from sister ministries abroad in plays that will take place at the Kraaifontein civic centre from Wednesday April 30 until Sunday May 4.
The local cast members portraying the roles of Jesus, Nicodemus and Mary, the mother of Jesus, are currently in the United States to perform in the productions there as part of a global cast exchange initiative, the organisers said.
Bronwyne Scott, director of Passion Play Cape Town, said: “We are not only celebrating 40 years of this ministry globally, but we’re seeing our local actors take their passion for storytelling across borders.”
The performances will be free of charge and the doors will open at 7pm at the civic centre.
Members of the public are invited to attend and to make any donation you can contact Bronwyne Scott at bron653@gmail.com or 084 769 7350.
