Tragic collision: Police bakkie and Checkers Sixty60 motorcycle crash in Bellville

Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) is investigating an accident that involved a police bakkie and a Checkers Sixty60 delivery motorcycle on Monday, June 23.

The accident reportedly took place on Voortrekker Road in Bellville during the afternoon.

“We will only have the full information on what exactly happened once we have finalised our investigation,” said Lizzy Suping, the IPID spokeswoman.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that the delivery driver died at the scene.
