A reward of up to R50 000 is being offered for any information on the whereabouts of an armed man who entered a school aftercare in Bellville, according to police.

Police spokesman, Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi, said the man entered a local educational institution in Bellville, “with malicious intent,” on Friday, June 20, at around 3pm.

“He approached the aftercare teacher and enquired about the whereabouts of a learner, who happens to be the child of a police member. The learner, however, had already collected on the day in question. It is imperative that the person be traced and brought in for questioning,” said Warrant Officer Swartbooi.
