Interested vendors are encouraged to apply for trading bays at the inaugural My Cape Town Market in Kraaifontein, set to take place on Saturday, December 6, and Sunday, December 7.

The market will be located on the corner of Joseph Avenue and Buiten Crescent in Scottsdene.

Vendors who produce delicious food, handmade crafts, and other unique goods are encouraged to submit their applications before the closing date of Friday, October 31.

“The City is excited to bring My Cape Town Market to Scottsdene. Not only are these markets fun and enriching events that bring communities together, but they also open up important economic opportunities for local entrepreneurs and traders,” said James Vos, the mayoral committee member for economic growth.

Ward 7 councillor Grant Twigg hoped that local small business owners would apply.

“My Cape Town Market coming to Scottsdene for the first time is a wonderful opportunity for our local entrepreneurs and residents to come together, showcase our creativity, and support local businesses. We hope this is something we can build on for the future,” Mr Twigg said.

Each trading bay costs R78 per day throughout the market.

Application forms can be obtained here, or at the Kraaifontein Civic Centre, Brighton Road, between 9am and 3pm on weekdays. Completed forms can be submitted via email to MyCapeTown.Market@capetown.gov.za.

The space is limited, and trading opportunities will be granted to those who meet the selection criteria. For more information, contact MyCapeTown.Market@capetown.gov.za or phone 021 444 5583.
