Cat enthusiasts are in for a treat this festive season as the Cape Town Christmas Cat Show returns on Saturday, November 22.

The event will run from 9am to 4pm at the Bergsig NG Kerk in Durbanville, offering visitors a full day of championship competitions and festive-themed activities.

This year’s show is presented by the African Independent Cat Association (AICA), the Oriental, Siamese & Related Breeds Group (OSRBG), and the SAC@TS Breeders Group. Organisers said the event will feature three championship shows under one roof, showcasing a wide selection of breeds including Persians, Siamese, Maine Coons, and Orientals.

Alongside the competitions, visitors can expect stalls selling cat-related products - a stop for those looking to pick up Christmas gifts for their pets. Breeders will also be on standby to share information about various breeds and offer advice on feline care.

Organisers have encouraged residents of all ages to attend, whether for the competitions, the shopping, or simply to enjoy a festive day among fellow feline fans.

Entry fees are R30 for adults, R10 for pensioners and children under 12, and R50 for families.
