Parow police registered a culpable homicide case for investigation following the incident.

Two men were killed in a crash in Parow, while a taxi driver was lucky to escape with minor injuries in a separate accident in Camps Bay.
Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness spokesperson Shimoney Regter said that they can confirm that emergency medical services were alerted to the incident on Monday evening, January 5, at about 8:40pm at the Giel Basson Drive N1 flyover in Parow involving a motorcycle.
Ms Regter said: “On arrival, two patients were declared deceased at the scene. We are unable to confirm any further details at this stage. For more information, please contact the police.”
Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg said that Parow police registered a culpable homicide case for investigation following the incident.
He stated: “Police members attended to a complaint of an accident and upon arrival on the scene they found two adult males who sustained multiple injuries to their bodies. Both victims were declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel.
“The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation and no arrests have been made.”

Meanwhile, a taxi driver lost control of his vehicle and landed on its side after allegedly attempting to overtake a truck on a dangerous section on Kloof Road in Camps Bay.
It is alleged that the driver was the only occupant in the taxi and sustained minor injuries, however was given a traffic fine for attempting to overtake in a solid line.
