The Morningstar community swimming pool was reopened on Friday after calls were made for it to be opened.
The swimming pool has been closed since April 2021 for the necessary maintenance, according to the City.
Delegates of the City’s recreation and parks department and the mayoral committee member for corporate services and Ward 112 councillor, Theresa Uys, visited the Morningstar community swimming pool when it was reopened, as part of its phased resumption.
“It is a great pleasure that the swimming pool has reopened in Morningstar. To the residents of Morningstar, please use the pool safely and happily,” said Ms Uys.
The swimming pool will operate daily for the duration of the festive season, the City said.
