The City of Cape Town has advised the public of roadworks along various roads in Sarepta and Kalkfontein.
The work started on Thursday April 3, and will continue until Saturday June 7, between 7am and 5pm, from Monday to Saturday, weather permitting.
The following roads are affected in Sarepta: Cornelissen Crescent, Kannemeyer Street, Heath Street, Petunia Street, Kappertjie Street, Sonneblom Crescent, Aandblom Street, Clarica Street, Violet Street, Wes Street and Dahlia Street.
In Kalkfontein, these roads are affected: Magrieta Street, Verenigde Street, Chris Hani Street, Sikelela Street, Reuter Street and Elmarie Street.
To facilitate the work, partial lane closures may be in place until Saturday June 7.
Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and use alternative routes where possible to minimise delays.
“‘We are resurfacing an extensive number of roads in the above-mentioned areas for the next two months… Selected damaged manholes, catch pits, frames and chambers will also be repaired or replaced, where necessary,’’ said Roberto Quintas, the mayoral committee member for urban mobility.
