Hellenic FC continue to show impressive composure under pressure as they edge closer to securing a place in the Bayhill Premier Cup Easter Tournament, following another hard-fought outing in the play-offs.
With the competition now entering its decisive stages, the margins for error are becoming increasingly small. After the upcoming round of fixtures, the tournament will move into the round-robin phase, where 12 successful sides will advance to join the 20 teams that have already booked their spots in the prestigious Easter weekend showcase.

At the weekend at Langa Sports Complex, Hellenic were pushed to their limits by a resilient De Novo United side. The encounter proved to be a tense and tactical battle with neither team able to break the deadlock during regulation time, as the match ended goalless.
Once again, Hellenic were forced to rely on their nerve from the penalty spot. The side held their composure during the shootout, converting when it mattered most to claim a narrow 4–3 victory and progress to the next round.

It was the second consecutive week that Hellenic found themselves in a penalty shootout. The previous weekend they had also been taken the distance by Ravensmead, with that clash ending 1–1 before Hellenic prevailed 5–4 on penalties.
Back-to-back pressure situations have highlighted Hellenic’s mental strength and discipline, qualities that could prove crucial as the road to the Bayhill Premier Cup reaches its final stretch.
